Preparation for traffic trial: buses will also be diverted in the 2nd construction phase.

From Monday 10 July, preparations for the traffic trial will enter the second phase. The two inner lanes of the city centre ring road from Oswaldsgarten to John-F.-Kennedy-Platz will then be fully closed. Lines 3 and 13 will be diverted from Berliner Platz in the direction of the cemetery. Once the work in the Ostanlage has been completed, lines 5, 6, 12, 15 and 371 in the direction of Berliner Platz will be able to resume their regular route.

Preparations for the traffic trial on the Anlagenring will continue from next Monday. This will affect bus services, which will no longer be able to use the Nordanlage from Oswaldsgarten to John-F.-Kennedy-Platz for a period of approx. 3 weeks from the start of operations.

The changes to the city bus routes in detail:

Line 3 and line 13 (from Schlangenzahl and Schwarzacker to Friedhof)

In the direction of the cemetery, buses will run from the "Berliner Platz" stop via Ostanlage, John-F.-Kennedyplatz and Nordanlage to the "Nordanlage" stop in Asterweg.

The bus stops "Marktplatz" and "Oswaldsgarten" cannot be served. The "Landgericht" stop in Ostanlage will be used as a replacement.

There will be no changes to the route or stops in the opposite direction.

The changes to the surrounding lines in detail:

Line Gi-25 (from Reinhardshain to Gießen-Johanneskirche)

The construction site timetable is valid for the entire duration of the changeover phase. There is therefore no change to the first changeover phase. Line 25 runs from the "Steinstraße" stop via Nordanlage, Marktplatz back to the "Steinstraße" stop.

The stops "Nordanlage", "Oswaldsgarten", "Marktplatz", "Behördenzentrum" and "Landgericht" will be served. The stops "Mühlstraße", "Bahnhofstraße" and "Johanneskirche" will be cancelled.

The current timetables can be found at www.swg-verkehr.de or at www.vgo.de.

Of course, the staff at the RMV mobility centre in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz will also be happy to help from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. SWG is of course also available to answer questions by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or by e-mail at mobizentrale@stadtwerke-giessen.de.
