Stadtwerke Gießen is temporarily treating the drinking water in the Hardtallee zone with a mobile disinfection system. Citizens do not have to do anything.
Giessen. On behalf of Mittelhessische Wasserbetriebe (MWB), Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is providing information about the temporary and precautionary disinfection of the drinking water in the Hardtallee zone. A microbiological contamination was detected during a sampling. Due to this finding and as part of preventive health protection, SWG has been disinfecting the drinking water in the affected area with chlorine since 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning. To do this, they have installed a mobile system in the relevant shaft.
Important to know: The measure is exclusively for preventative purposes. Citizens do not actually have to do anything.
SWG has compiled an overview map of the Hardtallee zone and a list of the affected streets on its website: www.stadtwerke-giessen.de
