Practical impulses for future-proof heating
On 25 November at 5.30 pm, Stadtwerke Gießen will be highlighting district heating as a modern solution for tomorrow's heat supply in its "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series.
With the start of the heating season, the focus is once again shifting to the heating supply. This is often the moment when the weaknesses of the old heating system come to light. Anyone thinking about modernising their heating system next spring, for example, would be well advised to consider the issue now. Connecting to the Giessen district heating network offers several advantages. The lecture in the "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" series from Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG), which will be dedicated entirely to the topic of district heating on 25 November, will shed light on exactly what these advantages are.
District heating as a convenient heating alternative
The decision in favour of a new heating system is often associated with uncertainty. Not least due to the requirements of the German Building Energy Act (GEG), which sets strict decarbonisation targets and places clear requirements on homeowners. Kevin Krempel, energy consultant at SWG and speaker at the evening, knows the situation: "We are seeing that many people are looking for planning security. They want a solution that will not only last today, but also in ten or twenty years' time and that fulfils all legal requirements at all times." And this is exactly where district heating comes into play. Because it already combines convenience and future security. In addition, attractive subsidies make the switch even more financially attractive. "We go into the various options in detail here," promises Kevin Krempel. He also explains how you can also save money when switching to district heating: namely with Stadtwerke Giessen's cashback campaign, which runs until the end of this year.
Take part from the comfort of your own home
"Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" is an online offer from the SWG energy advice centre. Anyone interested can register by 23 November at energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de. The lecture begins on 25 November at 5.30 pm. SWG will send out a participation link in good time. Of course, this format also guarantees a dialogue with the speaker. Towards the end of the event, he will answer any questions that arise during the presentation.
