Because the incidence value in the town of Pohlheim rose to 297 at the weekend, those responsible in the town hall decided at short notice to close all larger halls in the town area. Of course, this also affects the indoor swimming pool operated by Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG).

In concrete terms, this means that SWG will have to temporarily close the Pohlheim swimming pool for all user groups from Tuesday, 27 October 2020, despite the sophisticated hygiene concept. "Because it is not yet possible to predict how the infection rate will develop, we are currently unable to estimate when we will be able to reopen the pool," explains Uwe Volbrecht, Head of Giessen's swimming pools. Of course, SWG will inform you in good time when the pool can be reopened.
