Visitors to the Ringallee bathing centre have been splashing and swimming outdoors since 15 May. From the coming weekend, water rats and sun worshippers will be able to enjoy the cool water and fine weather outdoors again in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will open the outdoor pool season there on 1 June.
The opening times remain the same as in 2011: daily from 1 pm to 7 pm. If the weather is particularly good - with forecasts of over 25 degrees for the following day and sunshine - SWG will extend the opening hours by four hours. The Kleinlinden and Lützellinden outdoor pools then open from 10 am to 8 pm. Last admission for guests: one hour before the pools close.
Prices will change slightly this season and increase moderately. Visitors pay 2.10 euros for a day ticket, a 5-person ticket costs 8.40 euros and a season ticket costs 42 euros for adults. The price of a season ticket for children and other concession holders is 28 euros. Families pay 84 euros for a season ticket.
Reinhard Paul, Technical Director of SWG, assures: "As we want to offer our pool guests a good service and ensure that they have a pleasant stay, we have to invest a lot of money every year - for example, for the maintenance of the facilities and new offers. However, I think we will continue to offer a fair price-performance ratio and will make sure that nothing changes."
