From Friday evening until Sunday morning, buses on route 1 will not be able to travel to the Allendorf district.
Due to the relocation of a house connection in Hüttenbergstraße in Allendorf, buses on route 1 will not be able to travel through the district as usual. This is because the construction work requires a full road closure, which will last from Friday, 1 September 2023, 10 pm to Sunday, 3 September 2023, 8 am. Of course, it will still be possible to get to Allendorf by public transport during this time. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will be operating a scheduled taxi service for this purpose. SWG has provided the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (Süd)" stop in the loop for transfers in both directions.
The scheduled taxi serves the stops "Altes Gericht", "Am Zehntfrei", "Triebstraße", "Mehrzweckhalle" and "Kleebachschule". Only the "Schwimmbad" stop in Lützellinden cannot be served during this time.
The departures of the scheduled taxi in the direction of Giessen will start two minutes earlier than the regular bus journeys. The scheduled taxi does not need to be ordered and operates at the usual fare. Important to know: The current diversion of route 1 in Lützellinden will remain in place.
