Get home safely - with the SWG timetable at Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

The timetable and fare change for local public transport has just been completed and Christmas is just around the corner. For the employees of the local transport service of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG), this is the time to put together an attractive timetable for the city buses on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
The Giessen city buses will run on the Saturday timetable on Christmas Eve. However, the city bus service will be cancelled early on this day - at 17:00. On both Christmas holidays, the buses will run according to the Sunday and public holiday timetable.

Slip safely and comfortably into the New Year - Stadtwerke's local transport services make it possible. On New Year's Eve, city buses run according to the Saturday timetable from the start of service until around 11.30 pm and then return to the SWG depot. SWG has set up a so-called New Year's Eve shuttle for the night between New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
A special timetable applies between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. on this night. Three lines run every 60 minutes within the city of Giessen and the municipality of Heuchelheim.

New Year's Eve shuttle 1:
Line A runs via Berliner Platz, Schiffenberger Weg, Sandkauter Weg, Ohlebergsweg, Aulweg, Frankfurter Straße, Klein-Linden, Allendorf, Lützellinden and back via Klein-Linden, Frankfurter Straße to Berliner Platz.

New Year's Eve shuttle 2:
Line B travels via Berliner Platz, Ostanlage, Marburger Straße, Wiesecker Weg, Wieseck, Philosophenwald, Grünberger Straße, Rödgener Straße, Rödgen, Licher Straße back to Berliner Platz.
