On 1 April, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will be introducing new tariffs at the Ringallee and Westbad swimming centres. Among other things, families will benefit from a family ticket in future. SWG is also slightly increasing the prices for single admission.
What sports facilities would guests like to see at Giessen's swimming pools and how can visits be made more attractive? Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) received numerous answers to these questions in its online survey in collaboration with Justus Liebig University. Uwe Volbrecht, head of the swimming pools department at SWG, explains: "Whether in the Ringallee bathing centre, the Westbad or the outdoor pools - visitors should feel comfortable and enjoy their time to the full. That's why we asked about their needs and are now responding to them specifically."
Better offer, new prices
A modern entrance area is just as much a part of this as the range of courses, wellness and sports on offer. SWG has expanded the latter in particular through its cooperation with Actic Fitness. The results of the survey also showed that customers want a new tariff structure, among other things. Stadtwerke Gießen is therefore adapting precisely this as of 1 April 2018. Families in particular will benefit from this: In Ringallee, two adults with a maximum of three children can swim for three hours for 10 euros - the new family ticket makes it possible. There is also a favourable family ticket for the sauna: it is valid for four hours on Saturdays and Sundays and costs 43 euros. New at the Ringallee bathing centre is a day ticket for swimming: Individuals pay 8 euros for this. Sauna guests also have the choice of whether they want to use the indoor swimming pool or not. In the first case, they pay 6 euros per hour for the first two hours; in the second case, they continue to pay 4.50 euros.
"Thanks to the new tariff structure, everyone can now relax in peace and pay less for a longer stay. That's what many people wanted in our survey. We have done a lot for families in particular in this respect," emphasises Uwe Volbrecht. SWG is also adjusting the single admission price for two hours at a time. It will rise slightly to 4.50 euros for adults at the Ringallee bathing centre and to 3.80 euros at the Westbad. The reduced price in the Ringallee bathing centre will increase to 3 euros and in the Westbad to 2.60 euros.
