From Monday 6 June, buses on lines 3 and 13 will be running on a new route from the "Zahnklinik" stop towards the final stops in the Südviertel district. The buses on line 13 will then run again to the "Dialysezentrum" stop in Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße and will serve the following stops on the way there from the "Zahnklinik" stop: "Georg-Haas-Straße" and "Finanzamt" in Schubertstraße, "Richard-Wagner-Straße" and "Max-Reger-Straße" in Robert-Sommer-Straße and "Christian-Rinck-Straße" in Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße.
From 6 June, trams on line 3 will travel to the "Schlangenzahl" terminus via the "Schwarzacker" stop and the new "Siegmund-Heichelheim-Straße" stop in Schlangenzahl-Straße. According to Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG), the arrival and departure times at the stops in the Schlangenzahl area will also change as a result of the changes to the routes for the two lines 3 and 13.

Diversion in Schiffenberger Tal
Due to construction work in Aulweg between Schiffenberger Weg and Liebigstraße, buses on lines 3 and 13 will have to take a diversion route from 6 June - between the stops "Berliner Platz" and "Röntgenstraße". The alternative route will run from "Berliner Platz" via Ludwigstraße to Liebigstraße and then via Aulweg and Leihgesterner Weg to the "Röntgenstraße" stop. In the direction of the "Friedhof" stop, the buses will take the same route in the opposite direction. The regular bus stops "Liebigschule" and "Schiffenberger Weg" will be cancelled for the duration of the construction work. The construction work is expected to last until the end of November 2016.
Alternatively, buses on routes 3 and 13 will run in both directions via the "Uni-Hauptgebäude" stop in Ludwigstraße and via the "Ebelstraße" and "Welckerstraße" stops. Due to the diversion, buses will have to travel in the opposite direction to the usual direction of travel on Liebigstraße. As a result, buses will be boarding and alighting at the "Ebelstraße" and "Welckerstraße" stops on the opposite side of the road. SWG recommends paying attention to the bus destination display.

If passengers have any questions about the diversions, they can contact the advisors at the mobility centre in the Stadtwerke Gießen customer centre on Marktplatz - by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or in person. Opening hours:
Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm
