The G-Juniors of VfR 1910 e.V. Butzbach are now playing in new kit - a good deed by Stadtwerke Gießen.
The four to six-year-old footballers from VfR Butzbach proudly presented themselves in their new kit last Saturday. Wearing white jerseys, red trousers and red socks, they lined up for the training match on the sports field at Ostbahnhof. "Obviously, the new outfit motivates our little ones, who are trying even harder today than they already do and are emulating their big idols. Nothing can go wrong in the next few games," said Sebastian Schlosser, who coaches the G-juniors, confidently.
Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) provided VfR 1910 e.V. Butzbach with the new playing kit for a total of 18 young footballers. Larissa Rigelhof, responsible for marketing and sales controlling at SWG, presented the shirts, shorts and socks on Saturday, 2 March. During a league match with her nephew, who is a member of the G-junior team, she realised: "The boys are great at football, but they really need a new kit." She then suggested supporting the VfR Butzbach youth team as one of the "75 good deeds" in which SWG is supporting clubs, institutions and organisations throughout the region in 2013.
