In its "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series on 31 May, Stadtwerke Gießen will be providing information about its "Wärme direkt" (direct heating) service. And about the advantages it offers.
Renting instead of buying: What has long been common practice for cars, hardly anyone knows about heating systems. Yet this approach offers many advantages. "With our 'Wärme direkt' offer, customers conclude a contract with us for the supply of heat - from their own boiler room," explains Hans-Peter Schön, energy consultant at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG). As part of its online lecture series "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday", SWG will be providing information on 31 May about what exactly the service is all about, what opportunities it offers and who it is of interest to.
All-round carefree package
Behind the offer is a genuine all-round carefree package: SWG initially plans, delivers and installs a new, energy-efficient heating system for a fixed monthly price. "Our experts draw up a customised energy concept for this in advance," says Hans-Peter Schön. The contract term is usually 15 years.
During this period, SWG takes over the operation of the system, including all costs incurred for fuel, maintenance, servicing and repairs. "We cooperate with local partner companies for this purpose," explains the energy consultant. Of course, a reliable emergency service is also part of the package: if there is a fault, all it takes is a phone call and a fitter will take care of it.
Lecture series with a wide range of topics
The "Wärme direkt" online event is part of the "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series, with which SWG aims to support its customers in saving energy. Hans-Peter Schön summarises: "In view of rising energy prices, we want to put our customers in a position to reduce their energy costs as much as possible." Other presentations in the wide-ranging series will cover topics such as house connections or explain the requirements that need to be met for the economical operation of a photovoltaic system on your own roof and what you should pay attention to when heating and ventilating.
Online as the new standard
Experience during the coronavirus pandemic has shown that online presentations have a number of advantages. SWG has therefore digitised its offering and made it available in video format. The exchange with the experts on site is nevertheless guaranteed: "Of course, there is also the opportunity to ask questions in this format, which we will be happy to answer," emphasises Hans-Peter Schön.
If you would like to watch the presentation on 31 May at 5:30 pm, please register by 27 May at energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de and you will receive a participation link in good time before the event.
