On Saturday, 26 March 2005, Markus Mederer's Aral filling station at Marburger Strasse 229 in Giessen celebrates its birthday: to be precise, the natural gas pump of Stadtwerke Giessen AG (SWG) turns one year old. To mark the anniversary, the Giessen-based energy and water supplier is organising a special day dedicated to natural gas vehicles. On Easter Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., SWG will be exhibiting two natural gas vehicles at the Aral petrol station. The energy consultants will be on hand to report on their experiences with the vehicles in everyday use and will of course be available to answer any questions. Anyone who has always wanted to take a look under the bonnet of a natural gas vehicle or is interested in the refuelling process should take advantage of this day. In addition to information about the vehicle, the municipal utilities will also be presenting their subsidy programme. Anyone who opts for a natural gas vehicle by 31 March 2006 can fill up with natural gas for half price at Markus Mederer's Aral filling station - for a whole year. In addition to information about natural gas as an alternative fuel, visitors can expect a little sporting diversion at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. Two top players from the German Basketball League team, Giessen 46ers, will be on site at the petrol station for an autograph session.
