The centrepiece of this year's Municipal Environmental Meeting (KUT) was the new "En 5" service package from Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG). Environmental consultants and energy officers from 15 towns and municipalities in the district accepted the invitation from the Giessen-based energy and water supplier and listened to expert presentations on sensible energy services.
Michael Rösner (Head of Sales Private and Commercial Customers) welcomed the representatives of the towns and municipalities to the municipal environmental meeting at the municipal utilities.
Many municipal properties such as administrative buildings, community centres, town halls and kindergartens are in need of energy-efficient refurbishment. Modernisation concepts are often available, but important investments are usually not made due to the tight budget situation. With the new "En 5" service package, Stadtwerke Gießen AG, as an experienced and reliable partner in energy matters, offers local authorities an "all-round carefree package" that eases the strain on household budgets. In addition to reducing energy requirements, the reliability and operational safety of the systems are crucial for local authorities.
In his presentations, Thomas Wagner (Head of Sales Industrial and Business Customers) used practical examples to illustrate the benefits "En 5" offers local authorities. Wagner provided information on energy supply options and explained to the audience the opportunities for municipal properties in heat supply.
To get a little closer to the topic of heat supply, the participants then visited a SWG wood chip plant.
The energy consultants from the municipal utilities are available to answer all questions relating to the sensible use of energy and energy services at the infoCentre on the market square.
