SWG informed about photovoltaic systems

Yesterday, 15 environmental consultants and energy officers from towns and municipalities in the district of Giessen accepted the invitation of Stadtwerke Giessen AG (SWG) to the seventh municipal environmental meeting. SWG used the event, chaired by Michael Rösner, Head of Private Customer Sales, to inform the representatives of the towns and municipalities about rational energy utilisation and innovations on the energy market. Those who followed the presentation by graduate engineer Dieter Lanze from Umweltconsult in Butzbach quickly realised what an attractive and financially rewarding investment photovoltaics can be for the future. Lanze's presentation focussed on development trends, applications and the state of the art of photovoltaics.

Insights into the current legal framework made it clear to the representatives of towns and municipalities what concrete opportunities are available to local authorities. After all, solar power systems can be operated as a financially sensible investment. To round off the presentations appropriately, those responsible at the municipal utilities visited the photovoltaic system at Giessen East School together with the environmental consultants and energy officers.

SWG's energy consultants are available at the infoCentre on the market square to answer any questions about the sensible use of a solar energy system. The SWG advisors are available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 0641 708-1177 or in person at the infoCentre.
