As the operator of the local swimming pools, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) consistently pursues the goal of providing its guests with the most pleasant stay possible in the Ringallee bathing centre, the Westbad and the outdoor pools. A modern, appealing infrastructure is just as important for this as a comprehensive range of courses and wellness programmes.
In order to find out what their pool guests value when doing sports, Stadtwerke Gießen has launched an online survey in cooperation with Justus Liebig University. "We would like to know how our guests imagine a sports programme that suits them so that we can adapt our programme accordingly," says Uwe Volbrecht, Head of the Pools Department at Stadtwerke Gießen, explaining the reasons for the survey.
Anyone who takes around seven minutes to answer the anonymous online questionnaire is not only supporting SWG, but also a student at Justus Liebig University who would like to incorporate the results into his dissertation in the social sciences of sport. Such co-operation with a university is nothing new at SWG. The swimming pool department regularly cooperates with the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Central Hesse. "These collaborations are always fruitful - for everyone involved," says a delighted Uwe Volbrecht.
The survey itself is very easy to find. On the SWG homepage at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de there is a clearly visible button that takes interested parties to the questionnaire with just one click. By the way: Stadtwerke Gießen will be giving away four sauna vouchers to all participants who leave their e-mail address. Of course, the e-mail address will only be used for this purpose and will be deleted afterwards.
