Around 50 bands, around 1000 vintage cars and tens of thousands of visitors will bring the lifestyle of the 50s and 60s back to Wettenberg from 29 to 31 July - at the 22nd Golden Oldies Festival. The best way to get there and back is to use public transport operated by MIT.BUS GmbH. The local transport subsidiary of Stadtwerke Gießen is putting in extra shifts to bring visitors from Gießen and the surrounding area safely to Wettenberg and back again.

Every 30 minutes to Wettenberg
The additional MIT.BUS GmbH buses will run every 30 minutes between Giessen railway station and Krofdorf-Gleiberg. On Friday, 29 July from 18:00 to 00:00, on Saturday, 30 July from 10:00 to 00:30 and on Sunday, 31 July from 09:00 to 20:30.
All buses will stop at the following bus stops in Giessen: Bahnhofsvorplatz, Liebigstraße, Stadttheater, Marktplatz, Oswaldsgarten, Schützenstraße and Hochhäuser. Other bus stops where you can get on and off are Launsbach-Gewerbepark Ost and Gewerbepark West, Wiesenstraße and Kronzenborner Weg in Krofdorf-Gleiberg.

Lines 802 and 800 according to timetable
The regular SWG lines 802 and 800 run from Giessen according to the timetable, but follow a diversion route in Krofdorf-Gleiberg via Wiesenstraße and Kattenbachstraße with stops only at Wiesenstraße, Kronzenborner Weg and Wißmarer Straße.

Please note for all passengers: The special tickets for the Golden Oldies Festival are not valid on lines 800 and 802. The day tickets for the festival cost two euros each and may only be used on the special buses operated by MIT.BUS GmbH.

The timetable for the 22nd Golden Oldies Festival is also available from the Stadtwerke mobility centre in Schulstraße. The timetable for the entire weekend can also be downloaded from the Internet at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de in the "Transport" section under "Current transport information".
