Giessen city bus with new logo and new design

Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) is sending its local transport subsidiary onto the route through Gießen and the surrounding area with a new name. Together with Manfred Siekmann, Chairman of the SWG Management Board, Mathias Carl, Managing Director of the municipal utilities' local transport subsidiary, presented MIT.BUS GmbH, with which the municipal utilities aim to organise local transport independently in order to remain competitive in the long term. "With MIT.BUS, we want to be a reputable and reliable partner for our customers in the field of local transport," explained Mathias Carl, Managing Director of MIT.BUS. "We want to present ourselves to our passengers not only as a reliable partner, but also as a dynamic company," continued Carl. In the near future, the SWG subsidiary will primarily be involved in scheduled and school transport services. In addition, the company will continue to organise special trips for school classes and clubs in the surrounding area. Back in August last year, Stadtwerke took a forward-looking step to prepare itself for the liberalised market. SWG positioned itself on the market with the purchase of the Pfeiffer transport company. This also laid the foundations for competing with private bus companies. After the purchase of the company, the former name, Verkehrsbetriebe Pfeiffer, was retained. After all, Pfeiffer was not only a household name for most bus travellers, but also well-known and proven.MIT.BUS should also make a name for itself in the region and be immediately recognisable. The new logo shows an implied bus and advertises with the slogan "simply hop on". Over the next few months, the SWG logo on the city buses will give way to MIT.BUS.

The company's headquarters will remain at Lahnstraße 31 on the premises of Stadtwerke Gießen. However, customers can also contact MIT.BUS by telephone on 0641 708-1260.
