Travelling a lot means saving a lot!

Do you travel regularly by bus or train and don't yet have an RMV annual travelcard? Then it's high time you did. With the annual travelcard, you save the price of two monthly travelcards. The card is valid from the first day of a selected calendar month and is available for all price levels - from your own municipality to the entire RMV area. The price varies depending on the area selected and you can choose between a transferable annual travelcard with or without a travelcard and a personal annual travelcard with a travelcard.

The RMV annual travelcard at a glance:

  • Valid from the 1st of a selected calendar month
  • Cancellable at the end of a month, automatic renewal after 12 months of validity
  • The annual travelcard is available as a transferable travelcard with or without a travelcard and as a personal annual travelcard with a travelcard
  • One-off or permanent upgrade to 1st class use possible
  • Carry-on regulation included! Daily from 7 p.m. and at weekends without time restrictions - one adult and any number of children under the age of 15
  • You choose the area of validity - from your own municipality to the entire RMV area. You decide which fare you need.
  • You can order your ticket at a sales point or online in the RMV TicketShop.

Price

The price of your annual travelcard depends on the selected area of validity. The RMV area is divided into fare zones. You decide which fare zones you travel through regularly, which then determines the price of your pass.

Variants

The transferable annual pass is available as a subscription with instalment or one-off payment or without a subscription with one-off payment. You can choose.
As the name suggests, it is transferable and can be lent out. Whoever has the card can travel. This means that your family members, friends or acquaintances can also use the card. The card is always valid for one year from the 1st of any month.
The subscription is automatically renewed unless it is cancelled. Cancellation is possible at the end of the month and must be received by the 10th of the desired last month of validity. However, anyone who cancels prematurely in the first year of the subscription loses the price advantage over individual monthly tickets. Otherwise, 12 months for the price of 10.

 

The personal annual ticket is only available as a subscription with instalment or one-off payment.
The ticket is personalised and therefore non-transferable. Orders or changes to the card must be received by the 10th of the previous month. The ticket is then valid for one year from the 1st of the month.
The subscription is automatically renewed if it is not cancelled. Cancellation is possible at the end of the month and must be received by the 10th of the desired last month of validity. However, anyone who cancels prematurely in the first year of the subscription loses the price advantage over individual monthly tickets. Otherwise, 12 months for the price of 10.
You also receive a mobility guarantee with this annual travelcard. In the event of delays on regional services of more than 5 minutes and an extension of your journey time by more than 20 minutes (without an alternative journey), we will reimburse you up to 15 euros for taxi journeys or train tickets. If you miss your connection, you will be reimbursed up to 30 euros.

Your ticket: it's that easy!

You can purchase the RMV annual travelcard at a sales point, online in the RMV TicketShop or in the RMVgo app.
Simply select your preferred version of the card, your start and destination area and, if you choose a subscription, the payment method instalment or one-off payment.

Purchase option

If you order your ticket online in the RMV TicketShop, the order must be placed by the 20th of the month. The chip card, if you do not already have one, will be sent to you by post. If you already have a chip card registered with meinRMV, this can also be used for online orders. The ticket purchased online will be made available to you electronically after ordering and can then be transferred to the chip card.

If you would like to order your annual pass on site, you must do so by the 10th of the previous month.
