Complete closure of Rödgener Straße
From Monday 23 March 2026 until further notice
Rödgener Straße is completely closed to traffic in the section west of Monroestraße and the access road to Sophie-Scholl School.
The Rödgen district will continue to be served by Line 1 (Monday to Friday) and, in addition, by Line 17 to Rödgen ‘Bürgerhaus’ (Monday to Sunday). The overall frequency of service will remain unchanged. However, during peak hours, there will not be a continuous 15-minute service. Line 17 terminates at Berliner Platz. From there, passengers can change to the train at the station or continue their journey as usual on Line 1 via the ‘Friedrichstraße’ stop. The section between ‘Bahnhof’ and ‘Berliner Platz’ is omitted due to time constraints.
During the construction work, the stops ‘Rudolf-Diesel-Straße’, ‘Sophie-Scholl-Schule’ and ‘Colemanstraße’ will be omitted. As a replacement, the stops ‘Colemanstraße Ersatz’, ‘Gefahrenabwehrzentrum’ and ‘Stolzenmorgen Ersatz’ will be served regularly by lines 1 and 17.
The ‘Lufthansastraße’ stop will be served more frequently in future (line 1 instead of line 17).
