Bus routes 3 and 13 will be rerouted from Monday 26 September. The emergency vehicles serving the Landgraf-Ludwigs-Gymnasium will not be affected.
The city of Giessen is currently upgrading the "Tulpenweg" stop to make it barrier-free. In addition, sewer and road works are being carried out in Rodtbergstraße, which will result in a full closure. As a result, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will have to reroute bus routes 3 and 13. From the replacement stop "Egerländer Straße" in Asterweg on the corner of Sudetenlandstraße to the final stop "Friedhof" and back, the buses will travel via Sudetenlandstraße, Marburger Straße and Friedhofsallee.
As a result of this routing, the buses will not be able to serve the "Egerländer Straße", "Tulpenweg" and "Lilienweg" stops. SWG is therefore setting up a replacement stop in Asterweg on the corner of Sudetenlandstraße. Important for pupils at Landgraf-Ludwigs-Gymnasium: The emergency vehicles, which depart from the "Egerländer Straße" stop from 1 pm on school days from Monday to Friday, will run as usual.
Stadtwerke Gießen publishes up-to-date information at www.swg-verkehr.de in the "Current traffic information" section. Of course, the staff at the RMV mobility centre in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz will also be happy to help from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. SWG is of course also available to answer questions by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or by e-mail at mobizentrale@stadtwerke-giessen.de.
