From Monday, 18 June, the city buses on route 2, which are travelling in the direction of Eichendorffring, will take a diversion between the Liebigstraße and Marktplatz stops. Due to construction work, the Bahnhofstraße and Oswaldsgarten stops cannot be served. The reason for the diversion route is the renewal of the electricity, gas and water pipes in the Westanlage between Gabelsbergerstraße and Oswaldsgarten.
Diversion route line 2
The city buses on line 2 will run from the Liebigstraße stop to the Katharinengasse stop and from there on to Marktplatz.
Diversion route forlines 140, 410, 419, 420
A diversion route will also be set up for the bus lines of Verkehrsgesellschaft Oberhessen (VGO) from the railway station in the direction of Gießen-West. From the Liebigstraße stop, these lines will travel to the municipal stops Katharinengasse and Oswaldsgarten.
In the direction of the railway station, the buses will follow the regular route.
Duration of the diversion
The above-mentioned lines will follow the diversion until the end of the construction work, i.e. probably until the end of September.
