From the start of operations on 29 July until the end of operations on 1 August, Line 1 will run on a diversion route. The reason for this is asphalting work on the newly built roundabout at the entrance to Giessen-Allendorf. Kleinlindener Straße will therefore be closed to traffic from Wednesday 29 July up to and including Saturday 1 August.
During this period, route 1 will run as scheduled to the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (Süd)" stop. From there, the buses will be diverted via Landesstraße 3054 initially to Lützellinden to the final stop "Langer Strich" - via the stops "Bitzenstraße", "Lindenstraße" and "Taunusstraße" in Lützellinden. In the direction of Giessen city centre, line 1 then travels via Giessen-Allendorf and stops at "Taunusstraße", "Kirche", "Kleebergstraße", "Schwimmbad", "Kleebachschule" and "Triebstraße". It then continues without stopping to the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (Süd)" stop in Kleinlinden and on to Giessen city centre. Passengers looking for a direct connection from Allendorf to Lützellinden can change at the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (Süd)" stop. The "Am Zehntfrei" stop in Allendorf will be cancelled during this time. If you don't want to take the longer journey time from the city centre to Allendorf, you can reach the district on foot from the "Brüder-Grimm-Schule (Süd)" stop in just a few minutes.
Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has drawn up a construction site timetable for Lützellinden and Gießen-Allendorf, which is displayed at the stops on line 1. This timetable can also be found on the <link verkehr/aktuelle-verkehrshinweise.html _blank>SWG website.
