Bus routes in the direction of the railway station will be diverted.

Giessen. From Thursday, 3 November, Liebigstraße will be closed on one side. It is expected that traffic will then only be allowed to travel from the railway station in the direction of Frankfurter Straße until 10 December. Stadtwerke Gießen, Verkehrsgesellschaft Oberhessen, Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund and ESE-Verkehrsgesellschaft have set up a diversion for several bus routes. Buses coming from Frankfurter Straße or Südanlage will travel via Westanlage, Reichensand and Bahnhofstraße to the railway station. This affects lines 10, 24, 51, 220, 372, 375, 377, 378, 379, 520, 600 and the Venus night bus. Buses on lines 2, 410, 419 and 420 will travel from the direction of Westanlage directly to Bahnhofstraße. During the construction work, the Selterstor and Liebigstraße stops in the direction of the railway station will be cancelled. A replacement stop will be set up in Bahnhofstraße near the Wieseckbrücke bridge.

Detours of the city bus routes in detail
From the start of operations on 3 November, line 2 in the direction of the station will run from the Oswaldsgarten stop via Westanlage and Bahnhofstraße to the station stop. Line 10 in the direction of Bahnhof will run from the Friedrichstraße stop via Liebigstraße and then continue via Frankfurter Straße, Westanlage, Reichensand and Bahnhofstraße to the Bahnhof stop. The longer route in the direction of the railway station requires a timetable change in both directions. From the Johanneskirche stop, route 15 in the direction of the railway station will take the route via Westanlage, Reichensand and Bahnhofstraße to the railway station. The same applies to the Venus night bus and line 24 of the ESE transport company, which runs between Wetzlar and Giessen.

Line 5 returns to its usual route
For line 5, the current diversion in the direction of the railway station via the Selterstor and Liebigstraße stops will no longer apply from the start of operations on 3 November. From the City-Center stop, buses will once again travel via Bahnhofstraße.
