With the last lecture in the "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" series for 2023, Stadtwerke Gießen is providing information on the topic of "Saving electricity at home".

Saving energy is still the order of the day. Although electricity prices are now falling again slightly, they are still higher than before the crisis. As a result, it is still worth using electrical energy sparingly. In fact, potential electricity savings can be found and realised in almost every household. "Our tips will help you to noticeably reduce energy costs at home with little effort, without having to sacrifice comfort," promises Astrid Weixler, energy consultant at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG).

As part of the SWG lecture series "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" on 19 December, she will explain, among other things, where a comparatively large amount of electrical energy is lost in the household. All areas - from kitchen appliances to consumer electronics - will be examined. After taking stock of the situation, the energy specialist will show how to make significant savings in electricity. Of course, the presentation also looks at the energy efficiency classes of electrical appliances. Last but not least, the often underestimated aspect of stand-by and the use of special measuring devices that can be borrowed from SWG to detect hidden power guzzlers are also included in the informative presentation.

If you would like to watch the online lecture "Saving electricity in the home" on 19 December 2023 at 5:30 pm, please register at energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de by 17 December 2023. SWG will send out a participation link in good time before the event.
