Public utilities close Ringallee outdoor pool

Summer is coming to an end and with it the Giessen outdoor pool season. On Thursday, 15 September 2005, the Ringallee outdoor pool of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will open its doors to visitors for the last time this year. The public utilities closed the outdoor pools in Kleinlinden and Lützellinden on Sunday due to the mixed weather conditions. With the current temperatures, even the heated swimming pools in Ringallee are no longer attracting visitors to the cool water. Even the weather forecasts no longer promise midsummer temperatures. Anyone who wants to enjoy swimming a few more laps in the open air will have their last chance to do so on Thursday from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm. While the municipal utilities hope that next summer will be a real outdoor pool summer again, the Ringallee indoor pool and the Westbad are already waiting for their bathers. Those interested can find the opening times on the Stadtwerke homepage at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de. The staff on the service hotline will also be happy to provide you with information about the daily opening times. The service hotline is available to callers Monday to Friday from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm.
