SWG and the municipality of Wettenberg adapt agreement on electricity supply for Launsbach and Wißmar

The municipality of Wettenberg has finalised the electricity usage contract with Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG). Last Thursday, Mayor Gerhard Schmidt and First Alderman Dietmar Kleiner signed the contract on behalf of the municipality of Wettenberg, along with Manfred Siekmann, CEO of SWG, and his colleague on the Executive Board, Reinhard Paul. Last year, a long-term contract was concluded for the Krofdorf-Gleiberg district, which, among other things, provides for significant improvements to street lighting. According to Schmidt, this will save the municipality investment funds and maintenance costs. Schmidt was delighted that the municipality had such a reliable and efficient partner at its side in SWG and confirmed the satisfaction of the two board members with SWG's performance and services. He went on to explain that SWG is an important partner for the municipality. This applies to the technical management of the water supply, for the operation of the 801 and 802 lines, as a member of the Wettenberg Energy Advisory Board and for exhibitions. SWG is a local partner who - and this was an important point for the municipality when concluding the contract - knows the problems of the region and the people here and can therefore also meet their needs. "By signing this contract, you are placing your trust in us and we naturally want to fulfil this trust in the future - as we have done in the past. For this reason, we see ourselves not only as an energy supplier, but also as a provider of an all-round carefree package; in line with our company motto: Your life - our energy," said Siekmann. In total, SWG supplies around 38,000,000 kWh to the municipality for the supply of electricity to households, businesses and municipal facilities.
