SWG ice skating with extended skating times

On Monday, the ice glitter of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) attracted a number of visitors to the "50+" ice rink in the Hessenhallen in Giessen. Today, all ice enthusiasts aged 50 and over can do their laps on the ice rink for the last time. Some ice skaters already showed on Monday how good they are at the sport on two blades. During the extended opening hours, ice skaters "50+" can glide across the ice to light background music from 14:00 to 16:00. At 16:00, the daily ice glittering begins for all ice fans. Cool music then provides the right beat on the ice until 22:00.

Ice skaters who want to take a short break are well catered for. Food and drinks are available at family-friendly prices in Hall 4 of the Hessenhallen. Ice fans can use the ice rink at SWG-Eisglitzern free of charge every day until 9 December.

Ice skate hire

If you don't have your own skates, you can hire them for a deposit.

St Nicholas is coming

On Wednesday, 6 December, St. Nicholas will of course not be missing from the SWG ice skating event.

The "holy man" with the white beard, the red coat and a sack full of presents will be handing out a sweet treat to the children on the ice rink on Wednesday. From 18:00 to 20:00 there will be good gifts from St Nicholas.

Don't forget: Gloves for the children who want to go on the ice rink.

For safety reasons, children are only allowed on the SWG ice rink when wearing gloves. For this reason, SWG asks parents to remember to bring gloves for their children.
