From Monday, 25 April 2005, Grünberger Straße will be closed. The reason for this is milling and asphalting work. The city buses on line 1 of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will take a diversion for an estimated two to three weeks during the closure. In the direction of Rödgen: From the Berliner Platz bus stop, the buses will travel via Grünberger Straße, Moltkestraße, Eichgärtenallee, Wolfstraße, Pestalozzistraße, Curtmannstraße, Fröbelstraße back to Grünberger Straße. The buses on route 1 will take the same diversion route in the direction of Giessen/town centre in reverse order. The Wolfstraße stop will be cancelled. As a replacement, the city buses will stop at the Pestalozzischule stop in Pestalozzistraße. Stadtwerke will also be relocating the Volkshalle stop in both directions to An der Volkshalle. The Licher Gabel and Licher Straße areas will also be affected in the course of the construction work: Further diversions are to be expected. Stadtwerke will be signposting the diversions at the Berliner Platz, Wolfstraße and Nahrungsberg stops. Passengers can also find information in the daily newspapers. Stadtwerke Gießen asks its passengers for their understanding for any delays that may occur.
