In their online lecture series "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday", an expert from Stadtwerke Gießen will provide information on the topic of private photovoltaic systems on 28 May.
More and more people are looking into the topic of photovoltaics (PV). And for good reason. Because an appropriate system on your own roof helps to make you a little more independent. What's more, if the conditions are right, a PV system is not only worthwhile for the environment, but also economically. And this despite the fact that the remuneration for electricity fed into the grid has fallen significantly.
Because monetary factors usually play a central role in the decision for or against a photovoltaic system, this aspect plays a major role in the lecture "Photovoltaics - Energy from the sun" from the "Energy knowledge on Tuesday" series. An energy consultant from Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) explains what to look out for when it comes to your own PV system. Of course, other important aspects will also be covered.
The proportion of self-utilisation is decisive
By far the most important point for the economic efficiency of a photovoltaic system is self-consumption. "The higher it is, the faster the investment is amortised," says SWG energy consultant Moritz Müller. It can therefore make sense to spend a little more money and install an electricity storage system at the same time. "This allows you to significantly increase the proportion of electricity you use yourself," says the expert, explaining the approach. Last but not least, the presentation also shows a convenient way to own a PV system: the e-revolution. "From the E-roof to the E-storage system to the E-box - our E-Revolution product family offers customised modules for all circumstances," reveals Moritz Müller.
