From Sunday 11 July, Krofdorfer Straße will be fully closed between Rodheimer Straße and the street "Zur großen Bleiche". A district heating pipe is expected to be laid here until mid-September, sewer work will be carried out and road damage will be repaired. As a result, bus routes 800, 801 and 802 will be rerouted between Giessen and Wettenberg for the next ten weeks. The Venus night bus route between Giessen city centre and Weststadt is also affected.

Traffic will be diverted into the city centre from Krofdorfer Straße via "Zur Großen Bleiche" and Schützenstraße to Rodheimer Straße. Out of town traffic will be routed from Rodheimer Straße via Schützenstraße and Leimenkauter Weg. At the junction of Schützenstraße and Rodheimer Straße, traffic will be regulated by traffic lights.

Bus stop relocation out of town:

The Schützenstraße stop on Sachsenhäuser Brücke will be moved back in the direction of Oswaldsgarten. The SWG lines 7, 12, 800, 801 and 802 as well as the ESE line 24 and the VGO lines 410, 419 and 420 will use the replacement stop there. The "Gleiberger Weg" stop will be cancelled; there will be a replacement stop in Schützenstraße.

Stop relocation towards the city centre:

The "Gleiberger Weg" stop is located in front of the "Zur großen Bleiche" junction.

Due to the diversions, traffic disruptions and delays to bus services are to be expected. Passengers can obtain further information by calling 0641 708-1400 or at the mobility centre on the market square.
