From Saturday, 14 March, the front door of the buses will remain closed until further notice. Passengers are requested to use the centre and rear doors for boarding and alighting.
This measure is intended to minimise the risk of virus transmission for drivers and passengers alike, explains Mathias Carl, Managing Director of MIT.BUS GmbH.

According to Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services, Stadtwerke Gießen supports the measures taken by its subsidiary MIT.BUS, because only together with healthy employees can we ensure reliable bus services for our passengers. In order to avoid contact, tickets will not be sold on the bus until further notice.
Nevertheless, tickets are compulsory for bus use. SWG and MIT.BUS therefore ask their passengers to purchase tickets before travelling. Electronic tickets are preferred. In addition to mobile phone tickets and eTickets Rhein-Main, tickets can be purchased at advance booking offices and from ticket machines at railway stations. Further information on the RMV mobile phone ticket can be found at www.rmv.de.
