Despite high incidence rates, Stadtwerke Gießen is keeping its contact points open for customers. However, 2G will apply here from 6 December.
Access only for those who have been vaccinated and have recovered - practically all experts consider 2G to be an effective means of breaking the current fourth coronavirus wave. Consequently, politicians have decided to introduce 2G in the retail sector. Of course, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is also adopting this regulation: From Monday, 6 December 2021, both the RMV Mobility Centre Giessen in the SWG Customer Centre on Marktplatz and the reception desk in the SWG administration building in Lahnstraße will only be accessible with appropriate proof. In addition, anyone entering SWG premises must protect themselves and others with a mask that fulfils the FFP2 standard. The safety distance of 1.50 metres goes without saying.
Although SWG still welcomes its customers in person, it strongly advises them to use the various contactless alternatives. "A lot of things can be clarified over the phone or by email," says Ulli Boos, Head of Marketing & Communication at SWG. SWG also provides a wealth of information on its website. "Last but not least, we would like to ask you to pay by direct debit instead of cash," adds Ulli Boos.
