Last Monday, the Junior Football Academy Mittelhessen (JFA), led by HFV-licensed coach Thorsten Buß, got the SWG holiday camp off to a successful start. 115 football-loving boys and girls gathered at the FSV Steinbach sports ground for the start of the SWG holiday camp. Together with his fellow coach Karl-Otto-Mank, Thorsten Buß took charge of the week-long training camp. 15 coaches, carers and helpers supported the coaching duo to provide the talented participants with high-quality and fun training. For the holiday camp, the head of the Junior Football Academy, Thorsten Buß, put together a varied training programme for the young players. For the first time, the "world champions of tomorrow" born between 1999 and 2001 were able to take part in a football camp.
Training like the pros
Together with coaches and players from FSV Steinbach as well as well-known coaches from our region, the ambitious footballers completed the various sessions. The JFA offered a complete training programme ranging from coordination and fitness to technique. In order to promote the coordination skills of the young players, the academy offered units on reaction, orientation and rhythm. In addition to ball control, the training programme also included exercises with the swing pendulum and the multi-kick ball. The goalkeepers were trained by two goalkeeping coaches. For the first time, all participants were able to take the DFB football badge at the end of the training week. After all, the football-loving boys and girls have been training diligently all week.
Success on the ball
The ambitious footballers successfully completed the sessions. After a week at the training camp, the players presented their skills and abilities with the ball and many were already looking forward to the JFA autumn camp, which will also take place in Steinbach from 18 to 20 October 2006.
With fun and ambition
The two coaches Thorsten Buß and Karl-Otto Mank have many years of experience in coaching and teach the kids the necessary ambition as well as having lots of fun. With success: many of the young footballers who have attended numerous camps organised by the two coaches are now playing in top league teams and some of the players are already represented in the Bundesliga.
