Five trainees at Stadtwerke Gießen recently passed their final exams and are now embarking on the next stage of their careers.
On Monday, 7 July 2014, SWG Head of Human Resources & Organisation Hans-Jürgen Schulz and Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) training managers Ruth Biehl-Franze and Sonja Krausmüller presented five trainees with their final certificates and congratulated them on passing their exams.
Julia Funk, Lisa Müller, Jana Viziova and Christopher Rommel have qualified as industrial clerks. Malte Kraft can now call himself a pool attendant. Four of the five former trainees will remain with SWG for at least the next three to twelve months. They have already signed a contract to this effect.
Marco Labellarte, Samuel Mulch and Jan Ruch were also bid farewell. All three have each completed a one-year internship at SWG.
Young specialists for the region
The topic of training and promoting young talent is one of the key components of SWG's strategy. "We recruit the skilled workers and specialists we will need in the company and the region in the future from our young talent," explains Ruth Biehl-Franze.
Among other things, Stadtwerke operates a modern training centre for technical apprenticeships. Ruth Biehl-Franze knows from experience: "The high level of practical relevance, being able to try things out for themselves and implementing their own projects in the group - that's what the career starters appreciate about the training centre."
SWG regularly provides information about the entire spectrum of training occupations at schools in Giessen and the region as well as during the "Chance" training fair, which takes place in the Hessenhallen at the beginning of each year. Stadtwerke Gießen also provides information on the subject of training on its website at <link unternehmen/jobs-und-karriere/ausbildung.html _blank>www.stadtwerke-giessen.de.
