Giessen. The submission deadline for the "Fire brigade of the future" competition organised by Stadtwerke Gießen ends on 30 November. Until then, the 19 participating volunteer fire brigades from the Central Hesse region have the opportunity to submit their projects to the jury consisting of experts from the professional fire brigades as well as representatives from politics, the press and municipal utilities. The panel is then expected to select the winner from 1 December. The award ceremony will take place on 19 December at the Stadtwerke in Giessen's Lahnstraße. The fire brigades will receive cash prizes of 1,500, 1,000 and 500 euros for the three best-rated projects.
