SWG congratulated on passing the exam

Seven trainees from Stadtwerke Gießen recently passed their final exams - some of them even ahead of schedule. At a small ceremony on 17 June, they not only received their certificates from Technical Director Reinhard Paul, HR Manager Hans-Jürgen Schulz and the two SWG training managers, Ruth Biehl-Franze and Hagen Luh, but also a job offer for the next twelve months.

Jasmin Katz from Rechtenbach, Sina Michel from Wetter, Artur Gwosdek from Butzbach and Andreas Hofmann from Giessen now have their vocational school qualifications as industrial clerks in their pockets. Jonas Scheumann from Giessen and Patrick Schmidt from Lahntal passed their exams as electronics technicians for industrial engineering at the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Back in January 2011, Ywo Rudolph completed his training as an electronics technician for energy and building technology as the best candidate in the Chamber of Crafts.

Stadtwerke Gießen would like to congratulate all the candidates and wish them a successful start to their careers.

Training up close
Stadtwerke not only assumes responsibility for the region in the area of supply, it is also committed to training. For example, a modern training centre under the direction of a full-time trainer is available for technical training. SWG also takes part in the "Chance" training fair in the Hessenhallen every year and informs numerous schools in the city of Giessen and the district about the various training occupations in the utilities industry. In addition, Stadtwerke offers a large number of young people an initial orientation for their future career choice in the form of internships. More information about training at SWG is available on the Internet at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de.
