SWG congratulated on passing the exam

Six trainees at Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) have passed their final exams and were released into the world of work at a ceremony organised by HR Manager Hans-Jürgen Schulz and training managers Peter Zeizinger, Hagen Luh, Ralf Schlesinger and Ruth Biehl-Franze.

Apprentices Benjamin Jung from Herborn (electronics technician for industrial engineering), Tobias Milow from Grünberg, Jan Schmidt from Biebertal (electronics technician for energy and building technology), Alexander Lawson from Giessen (plant mechanic) as well as Sandro Hölscher from Staufenberg and Sebastian Breitenbach from Aßlar (automotive mechatronics technician specialising in commercial vehicles) passed their exams at the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the Wiesbaden Chamber of Crafts and Trades and now have their certificate of skilled work in their pockets.

Congratulations

Everyone was completely satisfied with the training and examination results. In addition to numerous congratulations and the certificates, there was also a gift for the young professionals.

New workplace

Stadtwerke is particularly pleased to be able to offer two candidates a job, especially in the current difficult times on the labour market. Alexander Lawson will be able to prove himself in meter management and Sandro Hölscher in the vehicle workshop before attending secondary school in summer 2009.

Training up close

Stadtwerke not only assumes responsibility for the region in the area of energy and water supply, but also in the area of training in particular. A modern training centre is available for technical training. Two full-time trainers look after the trainees here. Word has got around that Stadtwerke has been providing school leavers with a qualified start to their careers for decades. Industrial companies from the region also take advantage of this offer and have their "apprentices" trained at SWG. Interested parties can find more information about training at SWG on the Internet at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de.
