Four trainees at Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) have passed their final exams and were released into the world of work at a ceremony. The four candidates from the industrial-technical and commercial apprenticeships were congratulated by Hans-Jürgen Schulz, Head of Human Resources at SWG.
The trainee, Lisa Handstein from Giessen, passed her early examination as an industrial clerk at the Giessen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and now has her certificate in her pocket. Fabio Labombarda from Giessen and Johannes Kuhl from Lohra are now certified electronics technicians for industrial engineering. Patrick Mus from Linden is a newly qualified electronics technician for energy and building technology.
Congratulations
The head of training at SWG, Ruth Biehl-Franze, and her trainer colleague, Hagen Luh, were extremely satisfied. In addition to the numerous congratulations and certificates, there was also a gift for the career starters.
New workplace
Stadtwerke is particularly pleased to be able to offer all four candidates a job for the next twelve months, despite the difficult times on the labour market at the moment. As an industrial clerk, Lisa Handstein will prove herself in the marketing department over the next few months. The electronics technicians for industrial engineering, Fabio Labombarda and Johannes Kuhl, will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in the areas of heat supply and electrical systems engineering. Patrick Mus will work as an electronics technician for energy and building technology in the area of customer services/meter management.
Training up close
Stadtwerke not only assumes responsibility for the region in the area of energy and water supply, but also in the area of training in particular. A modern training centre is available for technical training. Two full-time trainers look after the trainees here. Every year, SWG organises a training day and gives interested parties an insight into day-to-day vocational training at SWG. Word has got around that Stadtwerke has been providing school leavers with a qualified start to their careers for decades. Industrial companies from the region also take advantage of this offer and have their "trainees" trained at SWG.
