With "DrivE", Stadtwerke Gießen is offering a favourable electricity supply contract including attractive purchasing benefits for an environmentally friendly electric scooter.
Ecological, almost noiseless, inexpensive: more and more people who want to get around in a modern and environmentally friendly way are opting for an electric scooter. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has recognised the trend and is offering its customers a new, innovative product: "Awareness of sustainable solutions is increasing in all areas of life. Our 'DrivE' offer combines clean driving pleasure with environmentally friendly electricity," explains Ulli Boos, Head of Marketing at Stadtwerke.
Giessen green electricity - at home and in the scooter
Customers who opt for the DrivE offer receive one hundred per cent nuclear-free Giessen green electricity from Stadtwerke during the 24-month contract period. "We generate around 40 per cent of Giessen's green electricity ourselves here in the region, primarily through combined heat and power generation. The remaining 60 per cent or so comes from certified hydropower plants," emphasises Matthias Funk, Technical Director of Stadtwerke Gießen. Combined heat and power generation produces electricity and heat at the same time. This form of power generation utilises the fuels used much more efficiently, resulting in savings of up to 30 percent of primary energy. As a result, pollutant emissions are also significantly reduced. "This is how we combine cost-effectiveness with sustainability," emphasises Matthias Funk.
Attractive special conditions
In addition, customers secure purchasing benefits for a practical electric scooter from "unu" with a power output of 2000 watts, which is available in individually configurable colour variations. For the duration of the contract term of 24 months, the buyer pays a manageable instalment to unu's financing partner at zero percent interest. There are no further costs for the scooter. The all-electric scooter has a lithium-ion battery that can be charged at any household socket. After five to six hours on the mains, the electric scooter has enough energy stored to cover up to 50 kilometres. "And if you do run out of power while travelling, DrivE customers can charge their unu free of charge at one of the three Stadtwerke charging stations," explains Ulli Boos.
And this is how it works
Anyone who opts for the DrivE electricity product will receive a voucher code after the 14-day cancellation period, which can be used to order the electric scooter at special conditions on a website specially set up by unu. More detailed information about the offer is available on the Internet at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/DrivE, at the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz or by calling the service number 0800 23 02 100 (free of charge from German landlines and all German mobile networks).
