Roadworks in the street "Neustadt" require the diversion of several SWG bus routes. The "Oswaldsgarten" bus stop will not be accessible for around four months from next Monday.

From 22 July, the city of Giessen has scheduled major roadworks in the "Neustadt" street, which will affect bus services - especially the "Oswaldsgarten" stop, but also the "Marktplatz" stop: the "Oswaldsgarten" stop will be closed for around four months. As a replacement, the buses of Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will be travelling to the "Mühlstraße" stop.
This will affect lines 2, 3/13, 7, 12, 24, 801 and 802, which will be diverted in both directions. From the start of service on 22 July, the buses will take the following routes:

Line 2: Berliner Platz >> Marktplatz >> City-Center >> Liebigstraße >> Bahnhof and back via Katharinengasse >> Marktplatz >> Berliner Platz >> direction Eichendorffring.

Lines 3/13: Berliner Platz >> Johanneskirche >> Bahnhofstraße >> Mühlstraße >> direction Friedhof and the same route back towards Schlangenzahl/Dialysis Centre.

Line 7: Berliner Platz >> Johanneskirche >> Bahnhofstraße >> Mühlstraße >> Schützenstraße >> direction Evangelisches Krankenhaus and the same route back towards Philosophenwald.

Line 12: Authorities centre >> Johanneskirche >> Bahnhofstraße >> Mühlstraße >> Schützenstraße >> direction Gewerbegebiet West and the same route back towards Sandfeldschule.

Line 24: Schützenstraße >> Mühlstraße >> Liebigstraße >> railway station and the same route back towards Heuchelheim/Kinzenbach and Wetzlar.

Lines 801/802: Berliner Platz >> Johanneskirche >> Bahnhofstraße >> Mühlstraße >> Schützenstraße >> direction Wettenberg and the same route back towards Ostschule/Philosophikum II.

There are no changes for lines 1, 5, 10, 15 and 17 - they will run as usual.

SWG has compiled details of all rerouted routes on its website. In addition, notices at the stops in the city centre will keep passengers informed. SWG would like to apologise in advance for any delays.

All information on local transport and especially on the current diversions is of course also available at the mobility centre in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz and on the Internet at www.swg-verkehr.de
