The basic renewal of the two Launsbach through roads Schaal and Ludwig-Rinn-Straße starts on Monday, 14 April. The work is expected to last until October 2014, and the city bus route 801 will have to take a diversion for several months due to the complete closure during this period. "We have set up an alternative route and several replacement stops so that passengers can commute between Wettenberg and Giessen as comfortably as possible under the given circumstances," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at Stadtwerke Giessen (SWG).

Changes in detail
Buses coming from Giessen will take a diversion from the "Ruttershausener Straße" stop in Wißmar from the start of operations on 14 April. Line 801 will run from there via Hainerweg and Berliner Straße to the replacement stop "Auf der Heide".
From there, it will return to the "Ortszentrum" stop in Launsbach via Krofdorfer Straße with an alternative stop of the same name, Bahnhofstraße and Launsbacher Straße. The buses then continue to Giessen via the stops "Gewerbegebiet", "An der Fels" and "Gewerbepark Ost". The usual Launsbach stops "Mittelmark" and "Evangelisches Gemeindehaus" will be cancelled. The same applies to the "Linde" stop in the direction of Giessen.

Emergency vehicles for pupils of the Landgraf-Ludwig-Gymnasium
During the period of the full closure, the emergency vehicles will also take a diversion between Wettenberg and Landgraf-Ludwig-Gymnasium. This will apply from the first school day after the Easter holidays, 28 April. In Launsbach, buses in the direction of Gießen will only stop at the "Ortszentrum" stop. "Mittelmark", "Evangelisches Gemeindehaus" and "Linde" will not be served. "Pupils are requested to use the 'Ortszentrum' bus stop. The bus for the first lesson stops there at 7.07 am," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz. The bus then travels to Krofdorf-Gleiberg via the "Gewerbegebiet" and "An der Fels" stops. Please note here: The stops "Apotheke" and "Haupt-/Inselstraße" in the direction of Giessen are not on the usual side of the road, but on the opposite side.
