Due to construction work, bus route 801 will have to take a diversion for four weeks.
A road construction project involving cable laying in the period from 1 August to 4 September makes it necessary for Stadtwerke Gießen to divert route 801 between the "Berliner Platz" and "Philosophikum" stops in both directions. The alternative route via Ludwigstraße, Bismarckstraße and Schiffenberger Weg means that the "Nahrungsberg" stop in Licher Straße and the "Ostschule" stop in Alter Steinbacher Weg will be cancelled.
In addition, the buses will not be able to call at the "Pistorstraße" terminus during this period. Alternatively, route 801 will serve the "Sandkauter Weg" stop in Schiffenberger Weg. The "Philosophikum" stop will temporarily become the final stop. This diversion will be in place from 1 August, when operations begin, until the end of operations on 4 September.
