From Monday, 7 March, the final expansion of Rheinfelser Straße between the junctions with Falltorstraße and Langer Strich will begin in Lützellinden. The work is expected to take three to four months. From the start of operations next Monday, buses on route 1 and emergency buses will therefore be travelling on a diversion route.

Diversion in the direction of Lützellinden/Langer Strich
Line 1 buses will travel from the "Bitzenstraße" stop via Lindenstraße and Taunusstraße to the replacement stop "Langer Strich" in Taunusstraße. Stadtwerke Gießen is relocating the replacement stop for the "Lindenstraße" stop to the corner of Bitzenstraße and Lindenstraße - the replacement final stop "Langer Strich" to Taunusstraße not far from the junction with Rheinfelser Straße.
The regular bus stops "Lindenstraße", "Taunusstraße" in the direction of Langer Strich and "Langer Strich" in both directions as well as the turning loop in the "Vogelsang" industrial estate will not be accessible to buses from Monday, 7 March.

Diversion in the direction of Giessen

Both the buses on route 1 and emergency vehicles will start from the "Langer Strich" replacement terminus in Taunusstraße to the "Taunusstraße" stop in Rheinfelser Straße. From there, they will take the regular route back towards Giessen. There will be no changes to the departure times.

All information on the diversions is also available at the Stadtwerke Gießen customer centre on Marktplatz and by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or online at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/verkehr.
Opening hours of the mobility centre in the customer centre: Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
