With the start of operations on Monday 25 July, buses on routes 800 and 802 will be running on a diversion route for probably a week. The reason for this is construction work on Schiffenberger Weg at the junction with Aulweg.
For this reason, the buses will take an alternative route from Berliner Platz via Grünberger Straße, Licher Straße, Alter Steinbacher Weg, Rathenaustraße, Heegstrauchweg and Klingelbachweg to the "Klingelbachweg" stop.
The bus stops "Liebigschule", "Aulweg" and "Am Unteren Rain" will be cancelled. Alternatively, the buses will stop at the "Nahrungsberg", "Ostschule" and "Rathenaustraße" stops, as they are served by route 801.

No diversion is necessary on the affected section of the route in the direction of Wettenberg. However, due to work in Ludwigstraße, the trams will have to take an alternative route for an estimated three weeks from 21 July - via Nahrungsberg and Gartenstraße. The "Liebigschule" stop will be cancelled. Instead, Stadtwerke Gießen has set up a replacement stop in Nahrungsberg, near Kepplerstraße.
