From next Monday, 11 September 2006, the Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) city buses on route 13 (dialysis centre - cemetery) will be following their actual route. This route runs via Schubertstraße, Schlangenzahl and Wartweg. The departure times published in the current timetable book have also been adjusted. The buses will depart 3 minutes earlier from the Dialysis Centre terminus in the direction of the cemetery.
The changed route of the 13 in detail
From the dialysis centre, the route continues from the Richard-Wagner-Straße stop via the Finanzamt, Schlangenzahl and Ludwig-Uhland-Schule stops to the Petruskirche stop. From here, the buses will continue along the usual route. The Finanzamt stop will be served by buses in both directions every 30 minutes. From the Schlangenzahl stop, all subsequent stops up to Friedhof will be served every 15 minutes together with route 3 (Schwarzacker - Friedhof).
Construction work on roundabout completed
Due to construction work on the roundabout on the corner of Schubertstraße and Schlangenzahl, buses on route 13 had previously been detoured via the stops on Haydnstraße and Paul-Meimberg-Straße in Aulweg. This diversion has now been cancelled as the construction work on the roundabout has been completed. From Monday, these stops will only be served by line 10 (Bahnhof - Rathenaustraße).
