Stadtwerke Gießen is launching its "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series on 25 March with the topic of district heating.
Once again this year, the energy advisors from Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will be providing information on energy efficiency in the home as part of their "Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" lecture series. The lecture "District heating from SWG" will kick things off. An energy expert from SWG will compare different heating systems. He will also highlight the requirements of the Building Energy Act, which sets out the framework for the decarbonisation of the heating sector. District heating fulfils all the requirements of this law and also offers numerous advantages: it is efficient, reliable, convenient and saves space because it eliminates the need for a separate heating system. The presentation also looks at how district heating gets into the home, why it is seen as the key to the energy transition and which subsidy measures make the switch attractive.

"Energy Knowledge on Tuesday" is an online offer from the SWG energy advice centre. Anyone interested can register by 23 March at energieberatung@stadtwerke-giessen.de. The lecture begins on 25 March at 5.30 pm. SWG will send out a participation link in good time. Of course, this format also guarantees a dialogue with the speaker. Towards the end of the event, he will answer any questions that arise during the presentation.
