Crane installation leads to bus diversions

Due to a closure of Ludwigstraße, five bus routes will have to take a diversion at the weekend.

On 21 and 22 February, a crane will be erected in Ludwigstraße at the level of Gartenstraße. This will require a full closure of Ludwigstraße. As a result, bus routes 3, 13, 801 and 802 will have to take a diversion. The regulation only applies this coming weekend - from the start of service on Saturday until the end of service on Sunday. Specifically, on these two days the buses will run between the "Stadttheater" and "Uni-Hauptgebäude" or "Liebigschule" stops in both directions via Südanlage and Bismarckstraße. As a result, lines 3, 13, 801 and 802 will not be able to call at the "Berliner Platz" stop. Alternatively, they will serve the "Stadttheater" stop.

The Saturn night bus route is also affected by the closure. During the night from 21 to 22 February, it will run directly from the "Berliner Platz" stop to the "Alter Friedhof" stop. This means that the "Liebigschule" and "Sternmark" stops will be cancelled.

All information on current diversions and the associated timetable changes can be obtained by calling 0641 708-1400, on the Internet at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/verkehrshinweise or at the RMV mobility centre in Giessen in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm. SWG can also be contacted by e-mail: mobizentrale@stadtwerke-giessen.de
