From next week, bus passengers in the Schiffenberger Tal will be able to use all bus stops again as normal.
At the end of July, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) began construction work to replace the district heating pipes in Rathenaustraße, Ferniestraße and Schiffenberger Weg. Since then, bus routes 10, 800, 801 and 802 have been running on alternative routes and do not serve all regular stops.
SWG will be able to complete the construction work on the district heating pipes this week, so that all alternative stops will be dismantled from Monday 29 September and the regular buses will be able to travel to the usual stops. The buses on route 10 will then also serve the Sandkauter Weg and Siemensstraße stops between Erdkauter Weg and Rathenaustraße as usual.
From Monday, line 801 will once again stop at the Siemensstraße and Pistorstraße stops. The loop via Heegstrauchweg, Klingelbachweg, Siemensstraße and Rathenaustraße will be cancelled.
From next week, passengers on lines 800 and 802 will once again be able to board and alight at the regular stops Am unteren Rain, Klingelbachweg, Sandkauter Weg and Siemensstraße.
