Construction site in Aulweg enters second phase

Due to construction work, traffic on Aulweg will remain on one lane.

Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has been laying district heating pipes in Aulweg since the end of March 2025. The first construction phase has now been completed and the work has been moved to the other side of the road. As a result, one side of the carriageway between Leihgesterner Weg and Wartweg must remain closed to traffic. There are also no changes to the traffic routing: as before, Aulweg can only be travelled in the direction of Schubertstraße. This arrangement is expected to remain in place until the end of July 2025, when the construction work should be completed.
