From the start of operations on Thursday, 14 June, route 5 will run on a diversionary route in the direction of Wieseck until probably Friday, 13 July. Due to construction work in Kornblumenstraße, buses will be diverted from the Grabenstraße stop. The diversion route leads via Grabenstraße, Am Eichelbaum and Lichtenauer Weg. The "Turnstraße" stop in Kornblumenstraße will be cancelled. Passengers can use an alternative stop in the street Am Eichelbaum. The "Grabenstraße" and "Albert-Oswald-Platz" stops will be served as planned.
The diversion route only applies to the direction of travel "Wieseck" - buses travelling in the opposite direction "Gießen Bahnhof" will run as usual.
